TD/TDX Match 2001
The Yankee Tracking Test Match and Tracking Test Excellent Test Match was held on September 16, 2001 at the Strafford County Complex in Dover, New Hampshire. We had four Tracking Dog (TD) entrants and one Tracking Dog Excellent entrant in the test. The first track was run by Luke owned and handled by Marcia Wilcox. Although having difficulty on the first turn completed the track and qualified. The dog on track #2 started the track well made the first turn quickly but then got hung up on the second turn. Track #3 was the alternate started out quickly and made the first two turns and then got pulled off the third turn. Track 3 run by Rudy owned and handled by Jill Moffett started strong and completed the track quickly with minimal searching at the turns. The TDX dog and handler started strong and overshot the first turn once called back completed the track well.
Thanks to all our tracklayers . We had great weather, we all learned a lot and are looking forward to our Spring combined TD/TDX Test on April 22, 2002. We will have 5 TD tracks and 3 TDX tracks, so we will have lots of tracklaying and opportunities for Yankee members to earn a TD or TDX. So mark your calendars and get tracking.
